About Our Life Insurance Agency in Walnut Creek
We start with the coverage you already own. Before we quote anything new, we read your current policy, check what it still does well and tell you plainly whether to keep it, adjust it or replace it, and why.
Why we look at your existing policy first
A lot of life insurance gets sold by replacement. An agent shows a client a new illustration, the old policy gets surrendered, and the client pays for the switch in ways that are easy to miss: surrender charges on a whole life or universal life contract, a fresh contestability period, and premiums priced on an older age and possibly a different health rating.
We work the other way. When you call, we ask what you have now, then go through the policy piece by piece: the face amount, the beneficiary designations, the riders, the conversion privilege on a term policy and, for permanent coverage, the guaranteed and non-guaranteed columns of the in-force illustration. Often the right move is a small one. That might mean updating a beneficiary after a marriage or divorce, adding a term life policy alongside an existing whole life policy, or adjusting the premium on a universal life contract so it does not drift toward lapse.
Sometimes replacement is the better answer. A universal life policy built on older interest assumptions may be running out of cash value, or a term policy may be near the end of its level period with no conversion option left. In those cases we put the numbers side by side and walk you through the written replacement notice California requires, so you can see what you give up and what you gain before you sign anything.

How we work with clients
A written comparison, not a pitch
When we suggest a change, you see the current policy and the proposed one on the same page: premium, coverage amount, guarantees and any surrender cost. You decide with the figures in front of you.
Guaranteed and projected, kept apart
Permanent policy illustrations mix guaranteed values with projections based on current crediting rates. We separate the two so you know which numbers the insurer must honor and which could change.
Coverage sized to a reason
We size a policy to something specific, such as a mortgage balance, the years of income your family would need, college costs or final expenses. That keeps you from paying for coverage that does no work.
We meet where it suits you
Many clients prefer to talk at their business, between appointments or after closing. We can come to you, or handle the whole conversation by phone.
Working in Walnut Creek and Neighboring Cities
Our clients live and work throughout Walnut Creek and nearby areas such as Pleasant Hill, Concord, Alamo, Lafayette, Martinez and Danville, as well as Reliez Valley, San Miguel and Saranap. Most policy reviews begin by phone, and when you prefer to meet face to face, we can come to your business.
